SCARS|MARKINGS: Soon after Trent turned twenty-seven years old, he had gotten in a motorcycle accident, leaving him with a scar on his left eyebrow, which sometimes makes it look like it’s parted at the end of it | He has a particular marking on the lower left side of his pelvis. The details are very intricately burned onto his skin. This specific mark belongs to the Devil’s damned souls.
WARDROBE: Layers. Lots of layers. It can be 120 degrees out, yet Trent is almost always wearing around three layers of shirts at a time. He doesn’t like to be naked, even during heated moments. Sometimes he wears a t-shirt and jeans, but not as often as he mounts on many articles of clothing. He’s usually wearing one of his many hats unless he’s at some type of formal occasion, or he just doesn’t feel like wearing one.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: Tall and spindly with some muscle. His speech is laid back at a medium-low pitch with a rasped timbre. Trent’s blue eyes are often described as soul piercing, and people often think he’s stoned because of the relaxed nature of his eyelids.
Career & Education
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Hibbing High School with honors, although he slept in at home, missing the actual cap and gown graduation ceremony.
COLLEGE: Trent was enrolled full time in New York University (NYU) for one semester but never attended classes and eventually dropped out altogether because he was too busy spending his nights playing music and sleeping all day.
PREVIOUS JOBS: Trent performed at many night club’s and bars in the Village (specifically the Cafe Wha? on MacDougal Street) between the ages of eighteen through twenty-one. During that time he met his future band mates. He eventually got tired of the crowd shouting out freebirds at him, and felt that his musical endeavors were becoming stagnant, so he ventured off for the “experience” that people kept telling him that he needed to gain in order to become a respectably prominent musician.
OCCUPATION: Lead singer and guitarist of the rock band Desolation Row for ten years. He also has performed as a solo artist five out of those ten years while his band took breaks from touring and working in the studio.
SKILLS: Songwriting, vocals, guitar, piano, and harmonica. He plays all the instruments when recording solo albums
GENRE: Desolation Row is a mix of rock, roots rock, and alternative rock, while Trent’s solo music leans more toward a folk, blues, and country sound
BRIEF HIATUS:Toward the end of Desolation Row’s 2012 tour, Trent suffered a motorcycle accident. He fractured his elbow and broke his left wrist as a result, causing him to go on a forced hiatus. Rumors surfaced that he had died in the accident, because he wasn’t seen or heard of during that time. Trent was afraid of going out in public because he speculated that, due to his pact with the Devil, he would become another member of the infamous 27 Club.
Personal Information
THE SHADE OF THE FAMILY TREE:Before his own deal with the devil (See: The Crossroads), Trent’s parents made a pact of their own. Monty and Maggie wanted to start their own family, but Maggie was not able to conceive. Out of desperation they accepted the help of a man who told them that he could help them with their troubles under the condition that they repay him. It was only after they had accepted his offer that he revealed himself to be the devil, and told them that their second-born would belong to him. In hopes of not having to lose either son to Satan, Monty tried raising his boys with Christian values and good morals while Maggie slowly lost her mind after giving birth to her second son, Kristian, and eventually killed herself after attempting to kill him.
THE CROSSROADS: When Trent first hit the New York area after High School, he didn’t really make an impact in the music scene. His music was okay, but it was mostly cover songs and a sound that had been heard many times before. Rumor has it that when he had left the city for three months, he went to the crossroads and made his deal with the Devil to have a genius ability to write phenomenal music and lyrics. He has never confirmed or denied said rumor, mainly because it’s all talk and no one really believes in that sort of thing. In this case, though, the rumors are true.
THE DEAL: In exchange for his God - or rather Devil - given talent in which he’s able to mesmerize his audience (much like a pied piper or male siren), Trent’s end of the deal is that he can not fall in love — or isn’t allowed to. The Claus states that if he is to fall in love, and his admirer returns mutual feelings, then his beloved will die soon after the two become intimate.
DISORDER(S): Before making his deal with the devil, Trent used to suffer from Narcolepsy, which is, at it’s most basic, an excessive urge to sleep in inappropriate times. However after selling his soul, the disorder turned full circle and now he suffers from extreme Insomnia, going without sleep for weeks at a time until he finally crashes and sleeps for a few days.
